With the theme “Breaking barriers and achieving excellence through e-sports.”, Brokenshirians were all out in Mobile Legends, Online Chess, Online Scrabble, Online Billiards, Mr. and Ms. E-sport Tiktok, and Banner Making.
A breathtaking moment took place between Grade 12 Hope against Grade 12 Obedience, both fierce for winning the Mobile Legends championship. In the end, Grade 12 Hope survived and conquered the battlefield in best-of-five with the standing 3-2.
“Excited as well as nervous.” that’s what Jeric Martinez felt throughout the game, a Grade 12 Obedience member. Out of all the teams registered in the competition, only these two remained on top. Both teams executed clever gameplays and counters that awed the commentators and the viewers.
In online chess (high school), Aaron Daniel Alabata from Grade 9 Peace is the current champion. He exceeded the limits and defeated competitors from different grade levels. With the swiss-system tournament set up, time control of 60 minutes, and standard game type, he won with the standing 3-0-1. On the other side, in online chess (elementary), Prince Bryan Saquibal, a grade 3 student, dominated the entire elementary level and held as champion.
Quick-mindedness and strong vocabulary lead to Ashley Kaye Ramillano’s success, the online scrabble champion from Grade 7 Love. She remained on top in the semi-finals and finals that happened on the same day. The matches were close, Ms. Glory Fie Betonio said, the online scrabble facilitator. But Ashley’s friends were very supportive, she added.
A fierce one-on-one battle arose in the finals of the online billiards eight-ball pool between Louie Jay Empasis of Grade 12 Goodness and Norenz Kristian Villas of Grade 9 Amity. Unique strategies and outstanding aims are displayed, but in the end, Louie Jay Empasis won and claimed the victory with the standing 7-3.
“I am happy to be the champion, of course, because, amongst the good players out there, I won” Mr. Louie Jay said. “And I never expected it because all I wanted was to represent my section,” he continued.
BCT’s Mr. and Ms. Tiktok Transformation Challenge aims to showcase students’ virtual talents by letting them create their artistic and fun transformation videos where they should wear proper and decent sports attire accompanied by make-up, effects, and transitions.
At the pre-school level, Jermielene Jane Ramos charmed the judges with cuteness and earned the championship. At the elementary level, the pairing champion was Remlan James Gabutero of Grade 6 and Fiona Lorraine Nuyad of Grade 4. Similarly, in junior high school, Vince Barrioquinto and Desiree Gale Soliva of Grade 10 Vison was the pairing champion. Lastly, at the senior high school level, Angelo Daugdaug of Grade 11 Reverence and Frances Jhan Durango of Grade 11 Honesty were the champions.
In banner making, each section made a banner using their section name. Their artwork was presented with proof that it’s original and they are the ones who made it. Only a few banners are selected and displayed during the culmination day.
At the junior high school level, Grade 10 Wisdom is the champion. Then, Grade 7 Love as 1st runner up and Grade 8 stewardship as 2nd runner up. At the senior high school level, Grade 12 Compassion took the championship. Then, Grade 11 Felicity as 1st runner up and Grade 12 Diligence as 2nd runner up.
All in all, the event was successful in attaining its objectives to break barriers and achieve excellence!
